Lauren’s career has been defined by a lifelong dedication to service, creativity, and excellence. Although she grew up around her family’s real estate brokerages, her early passion led her to the culinary world, where she discovered a love for crafting memorable experiences through food. She pursued this calling at Vancouver Island University’s renowned Culinary Program, laying the foundation for an exceptional career in some of the world’s most respected kitchens.
Following graduation, Lauren was recruited to Vancouver, where she refined her skills at celebrated establishments including Le Crocodile and Century Grill. Her pursuit of excellence then took her abroad to London, where she joined the brigade at the Michelin-starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, gaining invaluable experience in a world-class culinary environment.
Lauren continued her career in Los Angeles, earning the role of Chef de Cuisine at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge before becoming Executive Chef at David Myers’ acclaimed West Hollywood restaurant, Comme Ça. There, she spent over a decade leading high-performing teams and serving an international clientele with distinction.
Eventually, the pull of home and family brought Lauren back to the Cowichan Valley with her two children. She realized her dream of opening Ma Maison in Saltair, a farm-to-table restaurant that celebrated the region’s rich agricultural community and coastal lifestyle.
After several successful years as a restaurateur, Lauren embraced a new chapter—returning to her roots in real estate. She earned her credentials through the UBC Sauder School of Business and joined RE/MAX Island Properties, where she built a strong reputation as a trusted advisor while working alongside Cal Kaiser’s respected team before launching her independent practice.
Today, Lauren combines her global experience, entrepreneurial background, and deep local knowledge to deliver a highly personalized real estate experience. Her attention to detail, strong negotiation skills, and commitment to exceptional service ensure that every client receives the same care and dedication that defined her career in hospitality.
